Our Story
Founded in 1976 by Phil Bazant, now currently owned and operated by Ryan Bazant since 2002 under Lear Construction Management Ltd. Lear Construction is a leader in the construction industry with almost five decades of experience. From it’s humble beginnings as a small Calgary construction company, it has steadily grown by adding loyal clients and skilled professionals to its ranks. The company now provides clients in British Columbia and Alberta with the highest quality service and products. Over the years, Lear Construction has been a major player in shaping the area, and their portfolio of projects have changed the landscape of Calgary and the West, one building at a time.
Adaptability has greatly contributed to the company’s impressive longevity. In the early years, a large number of projects were shopping centers, retail and office buildings. Later they expanded into public buildings including schools, recreational facilities and other institutional projects. Lear Construction also identified an opportunity to branch out into the multi-family arena. The diversity of this expansion has helped the company considerably in focusing on new and innovative ways of growing.

Sustainable Building Construction
At Lear Construction, we prioritize sustainability and environmental responsibility in all of our construction projects. As a leading construction company, we understand the importance of building facilities that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing, but also sustainable and compliant with local regulations. To achieve this, we follow LEED guidelines and Environmental and Sustainable Resource Development guidelines, which set the standards for designing, constructing, and operating buildings in an environmentally responsible manner.
In addition to adhering to these guidelines, we also take extra measures to minimize the environmental impact of our construction projects. This includes preparing Erosion and Sediment Control plans to prevent soil erosion and sedimentation during construction, as well as developing Environmental Construction Operations plans and Traffic Accommodation strategies to minimize the impact of our construction activities on the environment and traffic flow.
